Sarah Izaguirre Jul 2023 – My son learnt a lot at ELY, including how to be social. The nursery gives good attention and he loves the teachers!  

Dipa Balakrishnan 23rd Jul 2023– Two of the best things about the nursery are the staff who are very caring and responsive. Also, the activities – there are a variety of activities for cultural diversity, especially in 2023.

Louise Mansoor 22nd Jul 2023 – My daughter, Lielle, was cared for and looked after well at ELY. The food and snacks are some of the best things about the nursery. She also made lots of friends!  

Ei Ei Aung Hin Tun 21st Jul 2023– There are no negative words to say about ELY. All the key workers offer friendly, caring approach to looking after my daughter. My daughter is very shy girl and daily activities help her to increase independence and confidence. I can see her communications skill also much developing. 

Danny and Kristie Peruzzi-Khan 21st  Jul 2023 – We loved looking through my daughter’s ELY scrap book when she graduated from ELY nursery. Some of the staff are incredibly warm, friendly, loving and full of good humour and care. Staff have good rapport. My daughter enjoyed having jokes and telling us about them at home. There are lots of opportunities for messy play, outdoor play and role play.   

Leonie Minton 20th Jul 2023 – Ely Nursery is a very caring, nurturing environment where both of my kids are very happy there and having fun. The staff are always willing to help and respond to questions. My son, Freddie formed a close bond with key workers and speaks very positively about the nursery.

Kirsten Barnes 19th Apr 2023 – What an absolutely wonderful nursery. As soon as I went to visit I knew it was the right place for our daughter, it truly does feel like a home from home. All the staff, including management, are warm and clearly caring, which filled me with confidence. The personal touches the nursery adds, like colourfully decorating the whole place monthly to celebrate a whole spectrum of cultural events are more meaningful than some other 'added extras' I know other nurseries employ. I was especially delighted by the wonderful Christmas celebration they carefully plan for the children and parents. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ELY.

Maria Martin 28th Feb 2023 – I have no words to thank all ELY nursery staff for the amazing job they have done with my little Emilie for almost 2 years. We are relocating out of London so sadly we had to say bye few weeks ago. She joined the nursery when she was 10 months and since they one everyone she settled easily. I got daily feedback on the day and I have been able to see my little one arriving happy in the mornings and leaving happy in the evenings. Food is very good and specially Loiuse, Veena, Sam and Georgia from Amber room have given Emilie a great education and care. Big thank you as well to Sharina and June for the great advice to me and the love given to Emilie. I highly recommend ELY nursery!!! Best nursery in London!!!

Phoebe and Jamie Dunn 23rd Dec 2022 – Sharina and Sat, Thank you for understanding whenever we made a late payment (sorry again!) and for your flexibility with hours as our jobs and lives changed over the past three years. It hasn't ever gone unappreciated. Thank you Sharina for always being so happy, calm and wise to all the children and parents. For offering kind words when we needed them. For letting Dotty join you in the office in the mornings after Jessica left and she felt lost. And for creating such a safe space and managing lovely, funny, positive staff. We love you! 

Dikla Craig-Blum 23rd Dec 2022 – Our son Eden attended this nursery for a year. He absolutely loved it there and would literally run into the nursery every day without looking back. The staff at the nursery adored him and we could really tell how well he developed attending the nursery, from his fine motor skills to his vocabulary and his social skills. We really appreciated the daily reports we received on his activity and how they teach the kids about different cultures, we couldn't thank ELY nursery enough for the care they gave him during his time there.

Katie Levy 28th Aug 2022 – There are no words can describe how special ELY nursery has been to us over the years. A home from home, my son has come away with friends forever, memories to last a lifetime but moreover, the greatest foundations ready for him to start in Reception. ELY might not be the newest and most 'modern' looking nursery but it is the most nurturing and loving. The low staff turnover reflects the excellent management and care of the team itself, but the team are amazing. I miss them all: Nathan, June, Alex, Sharina, Sinead, Esther, Maria - they are all superstars. Sat, the owner, is so personable and has been so accommodating over the years (including having my son visit for odd days after he started school!). I didn't know they made nurseries like this anymore, but we certainly struck gold when we found you.

Natalie Hildebrand 5th Aug 2022 – Our two girls have been at ELY nursery since January 2021 and between them they have experienced all 3 rooms. The nursery was initially recommended to us through friends with the main positive being that the staff were so caring. We have found exactly the same thing and are really impressed with the investment the staff seem to have in the development of our children. We also are very impressed with the diversity of the staff with varying ages, genders and ethnicities which provides the children with different outlooks. We were pleased to see the introduction of Tapestry to see what the children have been doing which has been especially helpful due to Covid limiting entry to the nursery. The facilities themselves are not the most modern or spacious but what is lacking in this is made up for by the staff. So do not let the facilities put you off.

Yoav Yahav 9th Sep 2022 – I am going to miss Ely nursery, a place where my little one grew for the last three years, getting all the support she needed, making new friends, having great teachers and afternoon tea! Wonderful place to put your little ones with absolute confident they are in good hands!

Alex Carver 19th Sep 2022 – We sent my first son to Ely in 2018 and he’s now about to go to school in September. He has been in nursery four days a week for the duration and I honestly can’t fault the amazing care both he and now his younger brother have received. The staff are incredibly loving but equally supportive of the childrens’ development. My son talks about his teachers with great affection and it is so reassuring when you leave your child with others from a young age that they’re treated with such warmth and attentive care. I’m glad my other son is still in the baby room so we don’t have to say goodbye just yet!

Kunal Ramchandani 27th May 2022 – Thank you for everything you have done for Ishaan, including our special requests. We will miss you all dearly! Ishaan really loves Ely nursery and if we ever have a second child we will certainly be coming back! I am sure Ishaan would love to pop in again to say “Hi” after he has joined school. You have all been very kind including the management and I am grateful for your positive responses to our queries and concerns.

Max has loved his time at Ely and has told us he will miss it when he leaves. Thank you to all the staff who have made his time there so enjoyable.

Natalie Barber 25th Feb 2021 – Poppy really enjoyed going to Ely and she has developed exceptionally well. We were very happy with the friendly staff and left because we are leaving Finchley.

Laura Parmar 9th Feb 2021 – We love the great family feel of Ely Nursery which is enhanced by the warm and friendly staff. We are reassured that both are girls are in very safe hands. We are leaving as we are moving from Finchley. Our girls have received excellent care from Ely and we will miss the brilliant staff.

Pavan Sadarangani – 1st Dec 2020 – My daughter loves the staff. She's all smiles at the end of the day and enthusiastically enters the nursery every morning. Ultimately, what more could you ask for? From what I've heard from other parents as well, the other kids are super happy. They engage in loads of activities, have a large varied diet when at nursery and the staff even helped get my daughter potty trained (which took only a couple of days).

Samantha Hemsworth 24th Nov 2020 – The Ely staff are amazing and there are a variety of activities taking place for the children each day. If we were staying in the area Felix would have continued until it was time for ‘big school’!

Natali Gnitko 15th Nov 2020 – I am not one to write reviews but I must leave one for Ely nursery. Before my daughter turned 1 years old I have made few local friends in Victoria park who have all recommended Ely nursery to me. That's when I knew my little girl had to go there. My Daughter Charlotte has had fantastic experiences at Ely nursery. She started just when she turned 2 and wasn't very verbal and she was very shy. After attending few weeks I noticed how much shes learnt and improved in her confidence. When she comes home with a big smile and tells me all about her day it proves that I have made the best decision by sending her to Ely nursery. I found all members of staff there very professional, kind, warm and loving. I felt so happy leaving my child in such good hands. Sharina, June, Alex , Tina, Georgia, Salina, Sinead and Valentyna are just a few names I can remember and according to my daughter " they are nice teachers mummy, I have so much fun at my nursery " Which is what every mother wants to hear is that their kids are happy there. I can truly say that this nursery has had a big impact on Charlotte. I also have little boy who will be going to this nursery next year. I would highly recommend it to friends and family without a doubt.

Ciara Mackenzie 14th Oct 2020 – ELY is a fantastic nursery and as parents we would highly recommend. Our daughter has been looked after there three days a week for the past three years. During that time she has really thrived and the staff have been very caring, accommodating and kind and supported here in all aspects of her development.

Daniella Gheorghita 17th Jul 2020 – Emma has special needs and the wonderful Ely staff gave her so much love and attention every day. The daily freshly prepared vegetarian food is great and the management are always very helpful. Emma only left as we managed to secure a place for her in a pre-school that specialises in special educational needs. 

Louise Nicoll 14th Jun 2020 – It was reassuring to be always met with a warm, friendly welcome every morning! Ely has a very low staff turnover (the manager and deputy have both been there over 15 years!) and it’s great to meet the same smiley faces every day! The class sizes are small which allow for better attention to the personal needs of individual children. Alfie has really enjoyed his 2 years at Ely and we would highly recommend the nursery for parents looking for a personal touch.

Komal Tulsiani 12th Feb 2020 – The staff at Ely are great and there is a perfect balance between nurturing and teaching the children. Reya was always happy when we collected her at the end of the day. 

Aleksandra Pytlak-Ratajczyk 10th Sep 2019 – What we liked most about Ely were the fantastic staff and the home-like environment in the setting. The menu has a very nice variety of food that is offered to the children.

Alexandra Trache 25th Jun 2019 – Ely has a great teaching system and the staff are amazing. Sara loved the wide selection of vegetarian food that was freshly prepared on a daily basis.

Louise Nicoll 2nd Mar 2019 – The daily reports we receive are really informative. It’s fantastic how Ely celebrate all festivals from all faiths and use appropriate decorations. They provide a great service and I’m really pleased with the photographs from the trip to Willows Farm. Thanks also for being so accommodating with the session swaps.

Herta Murphy 15th Feb 2019 – We are very happy with all the activities and resources provided. Tommy’s favourite place is the garden! The staff are very pleasant, professional and trustworthy and Tommy has a great relationship with them all. It is clear that Tommy is very well cared for and we are always fully informed of all issues. We receive a detailed daily report and the keyworker spends a lot of time with Tommy which is evident in his 3-month reports. Tommy’s development through play has been amazing and at the weekend I love to watch his re-enactments of everything he has learnt at Ely! We are excited about his imminent move to the toddler room.

Katy Baker 14th Apr 2018 – Ollie has now moved to the pre-school room and we are very pleased with his progress as he is learning a lot from the older children. He gets on well with all the staff and doesn’t stop talking about them when he comes home! The health and safety standards of the nursery are very high and Ollie comes home with barely a scratch on him!

Joshna Gorsia 4th Feb 2018 – The staff are always approachable and helpful. If we have any questions, we don’t have to wait until the keyworker is available as all staff in the room have knowledge about our child. This was clearly evident by the dedication and attention shown when Aaron was poorly. 

Julia Sagner 23rd Jul 2017 – The staff are kind and caring and there is a great family atmosphere in the nursery. Maria learned a lot. Her English improved so much and she eats much better since she joined the nursery. It’s great that Ely is open all year round.

Wing Yi Au 16th Jul 2017 – The teachers provide a nurturing environment and they courage my child to be independent. The activities are fun. I will be returning next year with my new baby!

Camille Chauvin 21st Jun 2017 – The staff are kind and dedicated. The building, rooms and garden are well organised and there are a lot of activities offered. Clemence had a great time at Ely. He joined at the age of 7 months and only understood French, but he now understands so much English! We only left as the family are moving back to France. 

Ciara Pieters 5th Mar 2017 – All the staff at Ely are fantastic. The nursery is a warm and loving place and we are really happy with our keyworker. The quality of care provided is brilliant and the staff are amazing at organizing different festivals and events. The manager, Sharina has been very accommodating with allowing us to swap the odd day and when Sophia has been ill the staff have been incredible in looking after her and giving her Calpol and cuddles!

Stef Carpenter 13th Feb 2017 – I have a very positive relationship with all the staff and we’re made to feel welcome. The staff show interest and always have time to talk to me. Molly loves the nursery so much and adores all the green room staff; we can tell how nurtured she has been in the 3 ½ years she has been at Ely. Molly eats much better at nursery than at home as she loves the variety of food that is offered! We’re always given a wholesome picture of Molly’s day and food intake from whichever staff hands her over. Molly has gained tremendously from Ely and has made great progress during her time there. She has learnt about lots of different faiths and we feel so lucky to have found a nursery with such wonderful staff where Molly is so happy that she doesn’t want to go home!

Nina Moyano 1st Feb 2017 – I am very happy with the interaction levels provided by all the staff and I know that Aya loves everyone. There are great daily activities and we are happy with the amount of food provided throughout the day. Aya has made great progress in her development and we are absolutely thrilled she loves the nursery so much.

Simon Merrick 3rd Aug 2016 – The staff at Ely are very caring and the relaxed atmosphere in the nursery suited George perfectly. He benefited greatly from the ‘learn through play’ ethos. He also loved the food, the parties and the trips out!

Lydia Edwige 13th Jul 2016 – Leon is my second child at Ely. There is such a great family atmosphere it really feels like a second home. The staff are experienced and friendly. The food is freshly cooked on the premises every day.

Maja Romaniuk 17th Jun 2016 – The Ely staff are always very friendly and helpful. The food is cooked freshly every day and the meals are very healthy. The garden is divided into many different sections that help stimulate the children in different ways.

Dahlia Jacobs 17th Jun 2016 – Ely has a small and warm environment with some star key workers! The reports and feedback are thorough and it is very useful to hear how the children are progressing in each area of development.

Laura Masino 10th Jun 2016 – Ely operates in a homely, family-like environment. The staff are welcoming and friendly, and we really appreciate the daily freshly cooked food.

Sanaz Siyahpoush 6th Jun 2016 – There is a great atmosphere in the nursery and the teachers are all fantastic. Even though Ariya took ages to settle in, they really persevered with him. We loved it here and he will miss his friends but will be joining his brother’s school where he will make even more friends!

Yee Voon Hew 24th Sep 2015 – Nicholas had a fantastic time at Ely right from when he started at 7 mths to leaving for ‘big school’. Ely provided excellent carers and timely observation reports for parents. The carers were also very willing to be sounding boards for new ideas to develop a child’s learning. The closing time of 6.30pm was a huge help and Nicholas learnt to eat vegetables whilst at Ely! We will miss everyone and leave with very fond memories.

Rebecca Kendall 10th Sep 2015 – We have been really happy at Ely and we are very sad to say ‘Goodbye’. The warm, caring, friendly and loving staff are what makes the nursery so special. They truly seem to care about Zac and that’s worth its weight in gold. Parents are encouraged to be actively involved and we receive regular updates about the child’s progress. Thank you for everything!

Lucia Jemma 18th Jun 2015 - We are really happy with our move to Sydney. This city is amazing and it's a good chance for Federico to have a great future. However we always think about Ely. We miss you and even though Federico’s childcare is good, it will be really hard to find a place full of love and passion like Ely. Kate Holton 4th Jun 2015 – The Ely staff create a really lovely atmosphere and there is always a lot of communication with parents. There are a wide range of activities and resources available. Joe has learnt so much from Ely and we will miss you all very much.

Sarah Holmes 15th May 2015 – Ely is a friendly, warm and welcoming nursery. The management and staff at Ely are always very kind and friendly. I loved the way they welcomed Leo and made him feel happy and settled. There is also a fantastic range of vegetarian food to try!

Asli Jamil 19th Mar 2015 – Tymel started when he was 8 months old. I didn’t know how he would react with all the new faces but he settled in so well. The Red room staff are the best! They have great interaction with the kids and regularly take them on local outings. I am so thankful to all the staff at Ely nursery.

Lynette Yaduat 21st Jul 2014 - Dear Sat & Staff of ELY, My special thanks to you and your team for the wonderful job you all do at ELY Nursery! I would like to express my appreciation for your hard work and dedication of staff while looking after Zechariah and making his experience at ELY nursery special and full of fun and learning. The level of service that you provide is outstanding and provides a caring, warm and inspiring environment for young ones to develop in. The staff are always polite, friendly and helpful and show genuine concern for Zechariah in his learning and development. While he has been at the nursery he has learned the alphabet, improved his counting and developed his co-ordination with drawing, coloring and painting - the evidence of this is the countless paintings and drawings I have with no more space to store it! I commend you on the good level of communication from and between staff. The update I receive when I collect Zechariah has allowed me to feel included in all that has gone on through his day at nursery. As a working parent it is extremely important to have confidence and trust in the people that care for your child for many hours of the day and I am grateful that the relationship I have with staff has allowed me to have peace of mind when leaving Zechariah in your care knowing he is in safe hands. All of you have been a great support and have made our experience at ELY nursery a joy. Zechariah has loved it and I’m sure he will never forget his time with you and will miss you all.

Gilli Erez 19th Jul 2014 - Tamar has had a splendid time at Ely nursery, and we are sure she will miss it very much! From her first day onwards she was always happy to come to nursery, where she was welcomed with smiles and cuddles (and flattering comments about her hair!) She enjoyed each day and always had many joyful stories to tell when she came home. Tamar has made many friends at Ely, and has already asked to see them again in September. Even if she doesn’t, we will always remember her first love (who had crowned her as the most beautiful girl he’s ever seen!) A special thank you to all the warm and caring staff who were always free and happy to cuddle, comfort and have a laugh with. They have made Tamar’s time away from home just as we would have liked it, and we are truly grateful for this! Tamar’s time at Ely nursery has definitely made her well prepared for reception, to which she is looking forward. 

Vicki Watkins 23rd Jun 2014 – Ely is a fantastic nursery. The health and safety is excellent and the staff are always very friendly and easy to approach. James was very well looked after and I felt comfortable leaving him every morning. I was extremely pleased with the wide range of toys and equipment and James loved the nutritious and varied lunch time meals that were offered. James really came out of his shell during his time at Ely and my only regret was not starting him earlier! Thank you to all the wonderful staff, particularly June and Sharina who are amazing! James will really miss being here.

Chetna Patel 14th Feb 2014 – We feel the nursery is a safe and secure place to leave Bela. The staff are very friendly and nurture the children with patience.

Leon and Cemre Meade 8th Jan 2014 – It is very evident that so much detail goes into the care for each individual child. I have never felt so happy when leaving my child as the Ely staff are so caring and loving. We love the health food provided and Kiana eats things at Ely that she would not at home. Christmas was magical and Ely always makes all events and festivals very special. We are also very grateful to Ely for developing great social skills for Kiana.

Stef Carpenter 17th Dec 2013 – We’re so glad that we chose Ely as Molly’s nursery as we could not be any happier with the quality of care that she receives during her time at the nursery. She is happy and excited to be dropped off in the morning and has formed such good relationships with all the staff she is content to go to anyone that opens the door as all the staff know her. I’m grateful to all your staff for making my return to work such a smooth transition; knowing that Molly is happy is a massive load off my mind.

Jonasz Ostrowska 17th Oct 2013 – Weronika was attending Ely nursery three days per week. Throughout the entire time she was there, we did not pay a penny! This means we did not pay for fees, food, drink, nappies, etc, as she was entirely funded through the 3 and 4 year old government grant scheme. We found the Ely nursery staff were always professional and sensitive to the care of the children. The atmosphere is fun and friendly and we found the management and owners are highly organised and easily approachable. We had great fun on the day trip to Willows farm last month. Sadly we are having to leave as we will be moving back to Poland.

Emma Collins 4th Oct 2013 – The Ely staff are always friendly very caring and there is always a warm atmosphere in the rooms. Evie loved the food and still talks about it when we go to collect her sister Lucy!

Hedieh Terghini 23 Aug 2013 – We found the Ely staff to be very kind and approachable. The outdoor area is great, and the nursery is flexible with drop-off's and pick-up's. The food offered is fresh and healthy. Lyna really enjoyed her time at Ely nursery. Thanks for everything!

Gali and Jonathan Cochavi-Ronen 11th Jul 2013 – We left Ely because we are moving back to Israel. The best things we liked about Ely were the staff, the atmosphere and attitude to Ahinoam, the facilities, and the flexibility (We can change the days when we want to from time to time).

Elaine Cutler 6th Jun 2013 – We were extremely happy with the care and attention that Charlie received at Ely. The staff are caring and show genuine interest in the children. They are also friendly, flexible and creative. The daily activities and routines are excellent. There is always a lovely atmosphere at Ely and we would highly recommend the nursery.

Sigrid Klein 23rd May 2013 – Even though Leon only attended 3 mornings per week, we found the staff to be caring, approachable and communicative. The nursery is very clean and well organised providing fresh vegetarian food every day. We particularly loved the warmth provided by the ‘non-chain’ character of the setting in a converted house.

What we loved most about Ely was the warmth and support from the staff and the encouragement and love given to Mahi in her development process. All a parent wants is to leave their child at a nursery without needing to worry about anything. Ely's staff are great and they have lots of fun activities to keep a child entertained throughout the day. 

Victoria Andrews 17th Jan 2013 – Mary-Jane has thoroughly enjoyed her time at ELY. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and genuinely care about each individual child. The food is varied and nutritious. The activities are excellent and the parties and themes make it an exciting place to go to. I would happily recommend ELY nursery to everyone.

Kirstie Burgin 2nd Sep 2012 – Evie has developed as a well-rounded child with the skilled support of the staff. She has felt loved, secure and stimulated by a wide range of activities. We have been happy in the knowledge that the staff were genuinely interested in our daughter's development. (Evie and Magdalena both joined in August 2010. Magdalena still attends Ely)

Mandy Strelitz 7th Aug 2012 - There is something truly magical about Ely nursery! The staff are all so loving and this atmosphere transcends to the nursery. Amongst a million other things, Matti has recently learnt about friendship thanks to Ely. At Matti’s and Tami’s previous nursery, we felt that both children were also loved and cared for but there was no ‘community feeling’ like there is at Ely.

Jonny and Tamara 19th Sep 2011 - Ely has been a wonderful experience for Oren. He has loved the staff, his new friends and all the toys. From our perspective he's learnt to be more confident, more verbal and more sociable. We found the staff to be warm and loving with a genuine affection and interest in our child, for which we are hugely grateful. You’ve also been so flexible with additional days etc and we’ve enjoyed getting to know you all. We'll all miss Ely and wish you success for the future.

Russell Platt 7th Jul 2011 - Ely nursery has helped give Lola the perfect start in life. The staff have been nothing short of perfect for the 3 1/2 years Lola has been there. It is sad that Lola is finally leaving and we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the care and all the fun times she has been given. I need the recipes as Harriet will not eat my food in preference of Nita’s cooking. Joshua 10th May 2005 - Thank you to all the staff particularly Daniella, Pam, Bettina, Annika, and Katie. A wide variety of activities was provided and daily information sheets that were given out were very useful. We also liked the vegetarian food that was provided.

Joanna 5th Nov 2004 - Thank you for looking after Kyle. After his term here I feel he is now more settled around other people and that I can move him to a school nursery without any worries. The staff were always smiling when they greeted us in the morning.

Mrs. Kemi Olagbegi 20th Jul 2004 - My daughter Toluwani appeared to be happy and always not wanting to leave when I pick her up! The type of food she was getting was fantastic and I could see that she had regular nappy changes. Keep up the good work. It is great to see my child motivated with the different activities she was engaged in. she undoubtedly found them all stimulating and challenging. When we return from Germany next year she will return.

Natasha Bajoo 16th Jul 2004 - Everything about Ely nursery is great. In my opinion it is the best nursery in Barnet! We receive daily sheets at the end of the day that tell us what our children have been doing in the nursery. The food is absolutely great and management and teachers are good.

She is always happy to be left off in the morning and always happy when I pick her up. The daily report sheet is a very good idea. I know she has been looked after very well.
